About dreaming and winning

Who here believes in dreams? Have you ever woken up and wished you could go back to sleep because the dream you just had was so good? Or, maybe the dream was so bad you wished you could wake yourself up from it.

Sometimes, dreams can be so intense and colourful, they are almost as real as when you're awake. Now ... what if that was your everyday life? What if when you went to sleep, your life carried on in another dimension?

This is the life Darren leads. He spends more time sleeping, than awake, for his dreams are more real to him than life itself. This doesn't make him a popular person with his family, or the people he owes money to; for how can a person be that lazy?

But, dreams often manifest themselves in the strangest of ways, and just when you think it couldn't get any worse ... there's DREAMSTATE.

The monsters never rest. They lurk, waiting for me to go to sleep.

Already, I have lost everything in my fight with the monsters that haunt my dreams, but my nightmares are about to become a reality when I am kidnapped by a shadowy government agency called the IDA.

Drafted into the IDA’s army of dreamers, the monsters become more real than they have ever been before. I am beginning to learn who, or what, I am – and the responsibility it brings with it.

This is a fight we cannot lose because if we lose, we lose EVERYTHING.

What's next?

Now that Dreamstate is finished, my main attention is on The Wolf of Ashford Manor, which is part of the Playing With Fire Box Set. In between, I am also writing a Children's/Teen Fantasy, called The Last Dragonrider. I will probably have a cover reveal for it just after Comic-Con.

I have, by no means, forgotten about my Dragonlore series, but I am taking it slow with this one. I am currently studying a publishing course, which includes lessons such as series development, world building, and basically everything you need to know on how to publish a series right. I am very fortunate to be working with an international bestselling author on this, so I am really looking forward to the results.

The beginning of an epic journey into the elven world of princess Maia and her Soul Dragon. Magic, friendship, battles, this book has it all. Meet a new kind of fantasy today.

Resilient – it’s what I need to be to survive this. I don’t know what happened, but I am all alone. Everyone is dead. My African city is a ghost town full of silence, and hollow-eyed corpses. I'm not ready for this.
